The reason some woman act like that is because most are ignorant and were not taught of how to behave when they are in society.
As you see in television and magazine how people of Haiti represent themselves, but it is not always like that.
Many have pride and sense of judgment and care about how they behave in society and how they represent themselves.
Some are just like "what the hell i don't care I'm poor so why the hell do i have to look good for" this is actually true, it came from a Haitian man that i saw waiting at the bus stop.
I'm from a Haitian culture and i see what your talking about, No it is not the way Haitian women are raised, it is how they are raised mentally and who they are surrounded by.
My parents do not act like that with any of their kids because they think differently about how to discipline their kids and they also teach us how to act when we are in society, for example, do u ever go into a store and see a Haitian, some have their kids close to them because they do not trust their surrounding and are afraid that someone might take their kids, or some might have their kids in a leash and if they get out those kids get hit right in front of public eye. The same way the woman did to her kid in front of you, we have no one to follow and some of us have given up on life and you will see the ones that gave up on life versus the ones you see that are trying to make it.
So no Haitian woman are not raised that way it themselves that chose to behave the way they do. The woman you saw chose to live that way and if she had pride and judgment she wouldn't act the way she did in front of you or chose the actions she did.
